1. What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small files stored by a browser. Local storage is a similar browser feature that keeps a preference on the device. Both can support website functions, remember choices or enable third-party services.
2. Storage used by this website
| Name or service | Purpose | Type and duration |
|---|---|---|
femcert-functional-consent | Remembers whether the visitor accepted functional translation services or selected essential-only use. | First-party local storage; retained until the visitor clears browser data or changes the setting. |
| PHP session cookie | May be set when the contact form is submitted to apply basic rate limiting and security controls. | Essential first-party session cookie; normally deleted when the browser session ends. |
googtrans and Google Translate storage | Supports the selected translation language and operation of the Google Translate widget. | Optional functional storage; enabled only after consent. Duration and additional Google cookies may vary according to Google’s service. |
3. No advertising or analytics cookies
This version of the website does not install advertising cookies and does not include an audience analytics platform. External partner pages may have their own cookie practices after you follow a link to them.
4. Google Translate
The optional translation tool is supplied by Google. When enabled, the browser connects to Google and may transmit technical information such as IP address, browser details, page URL and language selection. Google acts under its own terms and privacy policy for that service.
5. Managing preferences
You can select “Essential only” when first visiting the website. To enable or reconsider translation services, use the “Language” or “Cookie settings” control. You can also clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings; doing so will remove the saved preference.
